B&Q Outdoor Brochure Stand
A recent brief from B&Q was for an external stand to hold their Spring Garden catalogue, which meant one of the most important requirement of the unit was that it would withstand the vagaries of the British weather.
Adhering to a very strict time line and tight budget, we proposed a clean lined, cost efficient unit comprising of side panels and base with two angled bins, which would hold two facings of the catalogue side-by-side. The unit was made in mild sheet steel and powder coated with polyester based paint to increase its durability in a high traffic area and added to the units high water ingress resistance level. The paint selected was of a similar colour to existing units, so complemented brand promotion. The bins were angled so that the lids could not be left open once catalogues had been removed, thus ensuring they would not remain open to the elements.
Graphics were added using magnets, this allowed for them to be added at store level and would allow the unit to be used for additional promotions in the future.
Wintry weather in March tested the units to the extreme, with positive and delighted feedback from the stores.
